Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Office Administrator to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will manage daily administrative operations, ensuring that our medical practice runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be the first point of contact for patients and staff, playing a vital role in delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients as they arrive at the office
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring efficient use of resources
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage medical files
- Handle billing and insurance claims processing
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional manner
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure optimal patient care
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards
- Manage office supplies and inventory
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in healthcare administration preferred
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and medical software systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing processes is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
