Title: Architect L2 (Cloud/Big Data)
Location: Torrence, CA (Hybrid of 2 days/week onsite each and 3 days/week remote)
Duration: April 2025 – March 31, 2026 with possibility of an extension
Travel – 10% annually (within the U.S. – travel expenses will be reimbursable)
Pay rate $90 per hr on W2
This Architect will primarily work on projects and initiatives to deliver Solution Architectures and Design Patterns for data platforms & product scope and requirements, delivering ARB (deliverables and obtaining approvals from the Enterprise Architecture Review Board. Duties will include the following:
- Perform requirements gathering and provide the overall initial design of system with focus on Business Workflow Processes, Web UI, STEP-side integrations, and complex business rules.
- Interact with the business team to understand the requirements and existing gaps to convert the business requirements to the technical requirements specification.
- Implement Product MDM and Customer MDM using Stibo Systems Enterprise Platform (STEP) cloud and on prem environments .
- Conduct feasibility studies and report any gaps in the current platform, application and business requirement specifications and suggest process improvements.
- Understand the design and configurations of the Stibo Systems Enterprise Platform (STEP) Components and the underlying reasoning for the design.
- During build, be available to support business and build teams and answer questions/provide guidance on best practices and advanced STEP functionality.
- Provide support during testing as needed.
Required Skills and Expertise:
- BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 15 years of experience designing or configuring complex enterprise grade cloud & big data systems and/or applications.
- 10 years relational and NO-SQL database architecture and design.
- Strong technical aptitude of multi ‐ tier and cross ‐ platform architectures across the enterprise.
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), cloud-native architecture, and cloud services related to data (e.g., serverless services, scalable compute & storage, data lakes, cloud databases, data warehouses, etc.).
- Expertise in designing APIs and data integration platforms (ETL/ELT tools), microservices, data mesh, data fabric, and streaming, middleware to enable seamless data flow between systems while practicing data governance and security.
- Experience in architecting & delivering transactional andanalytical data solutions including ML and AI solutions using waterfall and agile methodologies (preferably SAFe).
- In ‐ depth knowledge of design requirements.
- Strong ability to perform the following functions:
- Define systems and integration models.
- Serve as a technical expert addressing problems relating to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platform integration.
- Strong understanding of the following:
- Information Technology landscape ‐ stretching from infrastructure, network, client, server, emerging technology standards and trends.
- Software engineering, software development, solution architecture and implementation of medium to large scale systems across multiple platforms.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value and business requirements into technical capabilities, manage expectations, and collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
- Excellent articulation, documentation, presentation, and communication skills exercised in preparing solution architecture diagrams, documents, and engaging enterprise architecture teams for reviews/approvals.
