Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and workplace safety standards. This position involves developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Duties
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in alignment with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS practices, emergency response procedures, and hazard recognition.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare reports on EHS performance metrics, compliance status, and improvement initiatives for management review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to environmental health and safety.
· Create and manage a Safety Committee comprised of various areas and levels of the organization.
Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Safety, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in environmental health and safety management or a similar role is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying potential hazards and implementing effective solutions.
- Certification in safety management is a plus, but not required.
