iSpine Clinics is a growing pain management practice that provides compassionate, personalized, and coordinated care to patients. Our mission is to improve our patients’ quality of life by providing minimally invasive and maximally effective treatments for chronic pain conditions.
We are excited to be offering an LPN/CMA position that will work in our Maplewood and Burnsville clinic locations. This position is Monday - Friday, no weekends or holidays, work schedule 8:00AM-4:30PM, 8:30-5:00PM.
General summary of duties: Assists in performing nursing tasks for patient care under the direction and guidance of the Registered Nurse.
Job qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Minnesota LPN/CMA License
- Skill in identifying and resolving problems
- Ability to exercise a degree of initiative and judgment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, coworkers and the public
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Proficiency in the operation of a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time; push, pull and reach; occasionally bend, stoop and stretch
- Ability to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment
- Occasionally drive to other locations
- Maintain a current and valid driver’s license
Duties and responsibilities:
- Rendering of professional nursing care to patients whether in the office setting or the clinical area, making every effort to remain a flexible, cooperative and supportive.
- Accompany providers into patient examination room to accurately document the encounter
- Electronically submit patient orders including lab tests, referrals, and imaging studies
- Responsible for care and maintenance of medical equipment and accessories
- Ability to follow safety and infection control procedures
- Help patients dress/undress
- Collect urine specimens for drug testing/pregnancy testing
- Dispose of soiled linen and sanitize patient areas
- Ambulate, turn, and position patients in bed
- Assist in patient transfers
- Initiate intravenous access.
- Review patient history and status with nurses and physicians
- Document actions and assessments appropriately
- Assist with orientation of new staff
- Collect and communicate patient data.
- Restock supplies
- Assist with room turnover and cleaning
- Make and receive phone calls on behalf of the provider(s)
- Participates in educational activities and programs
- Prepares for and reports at meetings as required
- Maintains office supplies, and notifies management of problems
- Maintains strict confidentiality; and treats staff, physicians, patients and visitors with respect
- Follows and adheres to organization policies and procedures
- Performs other related work as required
