Key Responsibilities : Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures within the facility, ensuring compliance with safety standards.Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, diagnose issues, and provide effective solutions to ensure minimal disruption to operations.Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and components, including lighting, wiring, outlets, circuit breakers, and electrical panels.Respond to emergency electrical issues and perform urgent repairs to ensure safety and operational continuity.Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations and report findings, recommending improvements or repairs when necessary.Collaborate with facility management to implement energy-saving initiatives and ensure optimal performance of electrical systems.Install and test new electrical systems, equipment, and machinery as required by facility needs.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations to ensure all work complies with federal, state, and local guidelines.Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities in accordance with company policies.Assist with the maintenance and repair of HVAC, plumbing, and other facility systems when necessary.Qualifications : Valid state certification as a licensed electrician.Proven experience in facilities maintenance and electrical work, with a solid understanding of electrical systems and components.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and climbing ladders.Basic knowledge of other facility systems such as HVAC and plumbing is a plus.Education & Experience : High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an apprenticeship or electrical trade school preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an electrician, preferably in a facilities or industrial setting.Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (temperature fluctuations, outdoor work, etc.).Work Environment : This position requires working in a variety of settings, including offices, industrial areas, and sometimes outdoors.
