About the Israeli-American Council (IAC) :
The mission of the Israeli-American Council (IAC) is to build an engaged and united Israeli-American community that strengthens the Israeli and Jewish identity of our next generation, the American Jewish community, and the bond between the peoples of the United States and the state of Israel.
Job Purpose :
The Community Engagement Manager (CEM) will expand the IAC's community impact and strategic investments within the region. This individual will organize and manage programs and events, represent the organization, and enhance the IAC's presence in the area. The CEM will also recruit and maintain participant connections while managing the operational aspects of the Eitanim program. This is a 20-hour-per-week position and the CEM reports directly to the Los Angeles Regional Director.
Key Responsibilities :
- Participant and Program Support :
Maintain communication with Eitanim participants and their families.
Provide support to Eitanim facilitators during sessions.Event and Community Engagement :Plan, coordinate, and execute community events aligned with program goals.
Build relationships with community representatives and local organizations.Identify and engage new target audiences in the region.Update the community about events and activities.Program Development and Marketing :Lead the development, marketing, promotion, and delivery of programs and events.
Implement strategies to recruit program participants.Coordinate cross-program events and partnerships with non-IAC organizations.Community Building :Foster and engage an active community while serving as the primary contact for community leaders.
Spend time on relevant social platforms to engage with supporters and learn about the target audience.Represent the IAC in local meetings and cultivate relationships with other Israeli-American and Jewish organizations.Volunteer and Partnership Management :Establish and manage a volunteer support system to ensure active engagement.
Operate partnerships established by the Regional Director and explore opportunities for collaboration.Administrative and Reporting :Manage the regional calendar, including program events and local community activities.
Handle data management and reporting related to volunteers, members, opportunities, and leads.Participate in staff meetings, training, and national conferences.Required Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree required.Strong connection to both Israeli and American identities, with knowledge of their people, culture, conflicts, and history.Proven experience in community building and engagement.Flexible availability to include evenings and weekends for events and activities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social networking platforms.Strong organizational and administrative skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively across all organizational levels.Fluency in English and Hebrew (reading, writing, and speaking).Experience in the Israeli and / or Jewish sector is an advantage.Full-time employees working 20 plus hours per week shall be eligible for insurance benefits (medical, dental, vision, & life) following the new hire waiting period.
