About the role :
We are seeking a skilled Application Development Manager to join our team in a dynamic, hands-on managerial role. The ideal candidate will have a strong application development background, experience in code review, development, and testing, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve vulnerabilities. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and leadership skills to drive the success of development initiatives while ensuring best practices and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and participate in the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including design, coding, code review, testing, and deployment.
Perform thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and security best practices.
Conduct vulnerability scanning and proactively address security issues within applications.
Manage and mentor development teams, providing guidance on technical and project-related challenges.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals align with business objectives.
Drive issue resolution processes by troubleshooting and providing timely solutions.
Maintain and enhance applications using technologies such as Visual Studio, Visual Basic, Java, C#, and .NET.
Develop and implement strategies to improve system efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate best practices.
Qualifications :
5-7 years of experience in application development with a proven track record in managerial or leadership roles.
Strong programming experience with Visual Studio, Visual Basic, Java, C#, and .NET.
Hands-on experience in vulnerability scanning and remediation processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
Ability to balance hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities effectively.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred). Preferred Skills :
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI / CD pipelines.
