1. Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:
- Conduct meetings with stakeholders to gather business requirements and understand workflows.
- Document business requirements and map them to system functionalities.
- Analyze business processes and identify areas where D365 Business Central can provide improvements or efficiencies.
- Collaborate with business users to prioritize system enhancements, customizations, and integrations based on business needs.
- Provide subject matter expertise in D365 Business Central functionalities, helping users understand how to leverage the platform.
2. Solution Design & Development:
- Design solutions based on business requirements, ensuring they align with D365 BC functionality.
- Develop and customize applications using AL programming language for D365 BC, ensuring they meet the needs of business users.
- Create extensions and customizations to D365 BC, including modifying reports, workflows, and business logic.
- Integrate D365 Business Central with other systems or third-party applications using APIs, web services, or data management tools.
- Develop data migration scripts for migrating data from legacy systems to D365 BC.
3. Testing & Deployment:
- Support testing activities by preparing test plans, scenarios, and performing functional and integration testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during testing, development, and after deployment.
- Deploy custom solutions to production environments following best practices.
- Provide post-implementation support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.
4. System Maintenance & Optimization:
- Monitor system performance and work to improve system efficiency and scalability.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes as necessary to ensure the system remains current and aligned with business needs.
- Troubleshoot system errors and provide timely resolutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for customizations, integrations, and solutions implemented in the system.
5. End-User Training & Support:
- Provide training to business users on D365 BC functionality, including both standard features and custom solutions.
- Create user guides, manuals, and training materials to assist with system adoption.
- Offer ongoing support and coaching to end users on the effective use of D365 Business Central.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, preferably with at least 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a developer and business analyst.
- Strong knowledge of AL programming language, along with experience in developing and deploying extensions for D365 BC.
- Familiarity with ERP solutions and how business processes like finance, supply chain, inventory, and sales work within D365 BC.
- Experience in gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
- Understanding of the Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power BI, to integrate with Business Central.
- Proficiency in SQL, for database management and custom reporting.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to work on complex technical and business challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or other related Microsoft technologies.
- Experience with other ERP solutions, such as NAV (Navision), SAP, or Oracle, is a plus.
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud services or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with Agile methodologies for software development.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in a combined Business Systems Analyst and Developer role, with specific expertise in Dynamics 365 Business Central.
