Job Description:
Responsible for managing Enterprise Voice and Data Carrier provisioning for NJ Transit Unified Communication Services. This includes ordering, tracking, commissioning, and decommissioning services such as Telephony, PRI, VoIP, SIP, MPLS, SD-WAN, Internet Access, and Mobile Data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage circuit orders and provisioning with multiple carriers.
- Use carrier management systems for order tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate service delivery with vendors and project teams.
- Maintain inventory databases and handle service upgrades or disconnects.
- Review and validate billing, contracts, and SLAs for accuracy.
- Provide customer and vendor support, including troubleshooting.
- Ensure accurate documentation and regular updates to stakeholders.
- Utilize MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) effectively.
Must-Have Skills
- Carrier Provisioning Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the Carrier provisioning process, including ordering, commissioning, and decommissioning telecom services.
- Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience with systems or tools used for Carrier provisioning and order management.
- Accuracy and Detail Orientation: Proven ability to ensure the accuracy of provisioning orders and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Carrier Relationship Management: Experience working with telecom carriers (e.g., PRI, SIP, MPLS, SD-WAN) and understanding their roles in service delivery.
- Service Order Management: Strong understanding of the steps involved in ordering new services, including Telephony, VoIP, and SD-WAN.
- Documentation and Reporting: Ability to document provisioning tasks comprehensively and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Communication and Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors effectively.
