Summary:
The Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) DBA will lead the upgrade from Oracle EBS 12.1 to 12.2. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle Database Administration, EBS architecture, and upgrade methodologies. The DBA will assess the existing system, design an upgrade strategy, and ensure post-upgrade stability and performance optimization

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive upgrade plan from Oracle EBS 12.1 to 12.2.
- Perform system assessment, impact analysis, and pre-upgrade validation.
- Plan installation and configuration of Oracle EBS 12.2, including WebLogic and Fusion Middleware.
- Define cloning, backup, and recovery processes for data protection during the upgrade.
- Optimize Oracle Database performance to align with EBS 12.2 requirements.
- Ensure compatibility and required modifications for the Basis2 water billing system.
- Conduct post-upgrade validation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Provide technical documentation and training for internal teams on new features and best practices.
Skills/Qualifications:Required:
- 7 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle EBS DBA (12.1 and 12.2) on Windows Server.
- Expertise in Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c), RMAN, Data Guard, and performance tuning.
- Strong experience with EBS 12.2 upgrade processes, including ADOP, WebLogic, and Fusion Middleware.
- Proficiency in cloning, backup/recovery, patching, and migration of EBS environments.
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Windows environments.
- Experience with Oracle Applications DBA tools (AD utilities, AutoConfig, ADOP, rapid clone).
- Understanding of Oracle Security, Concurrent Processing, and Application Tier Architecture.
Preferred:
- Experience with Oracle performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization.
- Ability to communicate technical guidance clearly to business and executive audiences.
- Oracle DBA or EBS certification is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage tight deadlines.
