Position Summary
A multi-national manufacturing company is seeking a General Accountant to join its Finance team in Bowling Green, OH. Reporting to the Controller, this role will manage cash flow analysis, prepare financial reports, reconcile accounts, and contribute to monthly closings. Candidates with Salesforce or SAP experience may be given priority.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Reconciliations:
- Reconcile accounts monthly, including cash, accounts receivable, payables, fixed assets, inventory, and intercompany transactions.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Analyze and explain results for management meetings.
- Month-End & Year-End Close:
- Participate in month-end and inventory physical counts.
- Calculate and post journal entries.
- Capital & Fixed Assets:
- Record transactions, manage depreciation schedules, and track budgets for fixed assets.
- Prepare amortization schedules for new capital leases.
- Tax Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare, submit, and process tax reports and payments.
- Audit Support:
- Assist with quarterly internal audits and annual external audit requests.
- Budget Preparation:
- Assist the Controller in preparing the annual budget and monitoring monthly activity.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Working Conditions
- Interpersonal Relationships: High level of interaction with local and international personnel.
- Physical Conditions:
- Primarily indoor work, with occasional outdoor activities.
- Noise and dust levels within OSHA standards.
- Schedule:
- Standard 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday.
- Minimal travel required.
