Front Desk/Intake Specialist
The Front Desk/Intake Specialist is responsible for assessing eligibility for service requests based on the South Carolina Medicaid Guidelines. Responsible for greeting clients, scheduling follow-up appointments, answering phones, completing initial paperwork, coordinating pre-intake and all initial appointments for new individuals presenting for services. Will make referrals to community resources as applicable, office, hospital and/or community-based work as appropriate. Also responsible for supporting the needs of the front desk area and administrative office.
Responsibilities:
· Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
· Manage calendars and schedule appointments
· Perform clerical tasks such as data entry and filing
· Assist with project coordination and support various departments as needed
· Answer phone line, provide customer support and address inquiries or concerns promptly
· Utilize EHR systems for booking appointments or processing information
· Handle clinical administrative tasks if required
· Support administrative office operations if necessary
Skills:
· Proficient in Calendar management
· Strong organizational abilities
· Experience in clerical duties
· Familiarity with behavioral health or clinical administrative tasks is a plus
· Ability to computerize information effectively
· Knowledge of Project coordination principles
· Familiarity with QuickBooks software is advantageous
· Experience in a medical office setting is beneficial
· Excellent customer support skills
