Job Objective:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate HR Director to oversee all aspects of human resource operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the unique challenges and sensitivities involved involved in the Mental Health/Social Work field, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of HR practices and regulations. This role requires an individual who can foster a supportive and inclusive work environment for our staff, enabling them to provide the best care our clients.

Job Status:

Employee: HR Director requires a minimum of 35 hours per week in the office designated by the CEO.

Location:

Columbia, SC office

Accountable to: CEO

Job duties:

  • Answering questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
  • Arrange for advertising or posting of job vacancies and notify eligible workers of position availability.
  • Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.
  • Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.
  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
  • Gather personnel records from other departments or employees.
  • Process and review employment applications to evaluate the qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
  • Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance valuations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.
  • Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, weekly earnings, absences, amounts of sales or production, supervisory reports on performance, and dates of and reasons for terminations.
  • Request information from law enforcement officials, previous employers, and other references to determine applicants’ employment acceptability.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Masters degree preferred. At least five years of human resource management experience required. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
  • Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, and to monitor or assess the performance of other individuals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer software skills including Microsoft Office
  • Organization skills
  • Time management skills and able to Multitask
  • Excellent human relation skills.
  • Experience in working in a culturally diverse community setting.
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences.
  • Strong Communication Skills Self Motivated
  • Good Decision Making and Organization Skills
  • Must pass Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and insurance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
