Information technology company providing Managed and Professional Services is seeking a Support Technician to join our team. Previous technical support experience preferably with an MSP required. We are looking for an independent worker with the ability to think on their own and make the appropriate on the spot decisions. No Sponsorships or Recruiters. This is direct hire only. Commuting to our office in Springfield, PA is required. No long-distance remote applicants will be considered.
Primary responsibilities will be:
- Provide quality remote and onsite Windows/Mac support for our clients
- Field inbound trouble calls and use remote monitoring and testing tools to identify, troubleshoot and resolve end user issues.
- Troubleshoot Windows, Office and other application issues
- Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly maintenance tasks on systems
- Monitor health of servers and network infrastructure
- Assist in hardware and software roll-outs
- Document and enter time in Helpdesk ticketing software
In order to perform these functions properly, a working knowledge and a minimum of 2 years’ experience with the following services/protocols/hardware is required :
- Windows 10
- Office 365
- Active Directory
- TCP/IP and Ethernet
- Firewall knowledge
- Printer Setup /Deployment
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to move up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time
- Constant operation of computers and technical equipment
2 Years of experience with technical support is required. The key skills to bring to this position are the ability to solve problems and troubleshoot under pressure while remaining calm and professional. We are looking for a person with the right mix of technical knowledge, charm, and critical thinking. Having reliable transportation is a must. Qualified candidates are subject to background and drug testing.'
