Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Senior/Branch Manager in overseeing the branch's operations in a professional and efficient manner.
- Delivering excellent customer service in line with the Bank’s standards.
- Achieving and surpassing set targets by proactively planning and executing business-related initiatives to enhance performance, business volume, and profitability.
- Managing a portfolio of customers while identifying and pursuing growth opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
- Contributing to the professional development of team members through training, mentoring, and support.
- Ensuring operational integrity, strict compliance with regulations, and adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Collaborating closely with the Senior/Branch Manager to resolve complex issues and effectively plan and organize branch activities, including the supervision of employees.
Required Competencies and Experience:
The ideal candidate should be reliable, trustworthy, and well-organized, with a strong willingness to learn and a team-oriented approach. Candidates must:
- Demonstrate excellent people management skills.
- Have knowledge of banking accounting principles and fundamentals.
- Be proficient in MS Office applications.
- Deliver outstanding customer service.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Maltese, with the ability to communicate effectively using a high level of business English.
- Be solutions-driven.
- Ideally have at least 2 years of experience as a commercial supervisor or a minimum of 5 years in banking, preferably with experience in multiple branches.
- Hold a degree in Banking and Finance, Business Management, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
