Job Overview:
The Head of Sales will provide strategic leadership to the global sales team, ensuring the company's products are sold and delivered efficiently and effectively worldwide. This role encompasses driving sales growth, improving sales processes, and managing sales resources to position the organization for sustained success in existing and emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership

  • Lead the global sales team to execute strategies for market penetration and customer acquisition.
  • Own and exceed annual sales targets for all product categories.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the global customer base and drive revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and potential threats.
  • Provide strategic direction for sales operations processes, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Deliver accurate forecasts to enable timely and cost-efficient supply chain delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance sales operations effectiveness and align operations with sales goals.
  • Continuously assess and improve sales processes, incorporating best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align communication strategies with sales objectives, particularly for trade shows and events.

Team Management

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing commercial team across sales and operations.
  • Provide guidance and support to foster a collaborative, results-driven culture.
  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Strategic Planning and Reporting

  • Contribute to the overall business strategy by providing insights and aligning sales objectives with company goals.
  • Develop and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and pipelines, ensuring accurate reporting to senior management.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor sales performance and identify areas for improvement.

Qualities & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in senior sales and operations roles, preferably in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or technical gases.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategy, supply chain management, and customer service excellence.
  • Exceptional leadership, hands-on management, communication, and negotiation skills, with a track record of leading high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with data-driven decision-making and process optimization expertise.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and relevant operational and sales technologies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate performance data and make informed decisions.
  • Agile and results-oriented, focusing on delivering high-quality customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration with demonstrable experience in applying business management principles.
  • Willingness to travel frequently as required.
