Description

As an Area Sales Manager, you will provide tailored solutions for water treatment customers in a business-to-business (B2B) environment. You will be the primary sales and account management representative for the assigned territory, demonstrating sales leadership to achieve territory goals within the Advance Water Solutions business segment. This position will utilize experience and expertise to solve problems and develop and execute customer objectives, thereby impacting both short- and long-term business goals. Additionally, your actions will be organized around a triple-frame strategy:

• Prospecting and new business acquisition

• Client account management

• Strategy and market intelligence

 

What You Will Do in Your Role 

• Take ownership and full responsibility for all direct sales and business development activities involving specialty chemicals, focusing on industrial water and process treatment industries, HI&I cleaning, and personal care markets.

• Plan and prepare an annual budget for the assigned territory/customer base and tasks to meet this expectation.

• Develop a clear and coherent business strategy with the assigned territory's Sales Director.

• Technical problem selling mode with solutions and value selling

• Coordinate technical seminars for customers and train distributors as required in conjunction with the R&D and Technical Team.

• Responsible for a current customer base with daily activities and growing organically with value selling.

• As a leader in your field of specialty, you will be called to represent the Company at contract and sales negotiations in your area, ensuring constant communication between you and your Sales Colleagues / Sales and marketing management dealing with equivalent products and applications in other parts of the world.

 

Basic Qualifications

• Five years front line sales experience in the Chemicals industry

• Chemical specialty products experience with water/process treatment

• Mining applications, Industrial and Municipal water background

• B2B Sales experience

• Ability to travel 50-70%

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering or another scientific discipline
