Job Title:

Banquet Captain

Reports to:

Wedding & Special Event General Manager

Success Profile:

· Comfortable supporting the Wedding & Special Event General Manager in providing constructive direction to staff members in real time during each banquet event.

· Good attention to detail to ensure complete set-up and execution of the banquet product and service as outlined in the banquet event order.

· Demonstrates a sincere passion to want to deliver excellent service, resulting in a completely satisfied customer who leaves having experienced a joyful banquet event.

Accountability:

• LMA (Leadership Management = Accountability)
• Event Coordination, including ensuring proper set up, staffing, uniforms and assignments
• Team Leadership, including staff training and hosting a pre-shift meeting for each event
• Guest Experience, including ensuring food and staff safety
• Hits Service & Operational Goals

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience in banquets or events, preferably at a weddings and special events venue in a supervisory role
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, event execution procedures, and health and safety regulations
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to deliver exceptional service
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, guests, and colleagues
• Team player with a positive attitude who will present a positive image of the Club
• Ability to work actively and adapt effectively to changing situations, especially during events
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
