The Pool Manager at Itasca Country Club oversees all operations of the pool facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for members. Responsibilities include supervising lifeguards and staff, managing pool maintenance, and running any programs that take place at the pool. Excellent leadership, organizational skills, and a current lifeguard certification are essential for this role.
Success Profile:
- Safety Oversight: Ensures all safety protocols are followed, from lifeguard vigilance to emergency response readiness. This includes maintaining current certifications for themselves and their team.
- Staff Supervision: Effectively leads and manages lifeguards, pool attendants, and other pool-related staff, ensuring high standards of performance and professionalism.
- Operational Management: Skillful in managing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, water quality testing, and maintenance schedules to keep the pool in top condition.
- Member Satisfaction: Focuses on member experience, addressing concerns, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all club members.
- Communication: Excellent at communicating with members, staff, and club management, providing updates, and managing expectations regarding pool usage and policies.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Lifeguard Certification
- CPR & First-Aid Certifications
- Several years of experience in pool management or a similar supervisory role in an aquatic setting.
- Previous experience in lifeguarding, swim instruction, or aquatic program management.
- Knowledge of pool chemistry, maintenance procedures, and water quality testing.
- Familiarity with pool equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Willingness to commit to the time demands of the role, which can include early mornings, evenings, weekends
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to deliver exceptional service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability and desire to interact professionally with customers, staff and colleagues
- Team player with a positive attitude who will present a positive image of the Club
- Proactively and effectively diagnoses, prioritizes and solves issues
- While not mandatory, a degree or coursework in Recreation Management, Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field would be nice

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
