What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Recruiter position at ITC Holdings Corp.?
SUMMARY
Actively recruits candidates for corporate and field office openings through direct sourcing, job postings, networking and other methods. Coordinates the internal recruiting process in partnership with various stakeholders to ensure we have the right talent at the right time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Full lifecycle recruitment for ITC assigned requisitions from requisition approval to offer acceptance. Conducts and improves recruitment efforts for all levels of the company ensuring compliance with government regulations and company policies and procedures
- Partners with leadership to determine recruitment strategies including sourcing, outreach efforts and passive candidate searches
- Ensures positions are posted internally and/or externally in alignment with strategy
- Partners with external recruitment agencies to fill unique and/or hot jobs as well as temporary roles, when necessary
- Ensures a positive recruiting experience for candidates and hiring managers
- Communicates frequently and openly with hiring managers on status of open positions; clearly sets expectations and ensures understanding of roles and best practices related to recruitment activities
- Coordinates interview process including screening resumes/applications, prescreening selected candidates, scheduling interviews
- Ensures appropriate documentation of hiring decisions
- Coordinates job offer ensuring final candidates receive comprehensive, timely & accurate information
- Performs recruiting tasks with a sense of urgency necessary to achieve or exceed desired staffing levels on a regular and consistent basis
- Establishes trust and confidence by maintaining a high level of credibility, integrity and communication with leadership and candidates
- Sources to ensure a diverse talent pool, leveraging social media, online recruiting resources and unique sources
- Participates in educational and industry specific groups and associations as well as community outreach programs
- Provides recruiting support for the ITC internship program by participating in university activities including ensuring ITC is represented professionally and memorably at career fairs
- Maintains recruiting records in conjunction with compliance standards
- Participates in projects and initiatives as related to Talent Acquisition and overall HR team strategies and goals
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of recruiting experience; prior technical recruiting experience with engineering and IT preferred
- Strong organizational, documentation and communication skills required
- Experience recruiting in a highly technical, competitive environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and a strong sense of urgency
- Ability to work occasional hours outside of normal business hours to accommodate recruiting events, career fairs and interviews
- Ability to travel, as needed, for career fairs and recruiting events
- Capability to anticipate and solve problems and make sound business decisions
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels, inside and outside the company
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
