Job Title: Asset Management (SAM) Specialist
Location: Princeton, NJ or Delaware (Onsite/Hybrid as required)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire software asset lifecycle, ensuring compliance, optimizing software usage, and supporting software-related activities across the organization. A strong background in ServiceNow SAM Pro is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- License Management & ServiceNow:
- Track and manage software licenses through the ServiceNow portal. Plan and execute major renewals for key software products such as Microsoft, Tableau, Adobe, MATLAB, and JetBrains, ensuring timely processing and user satisfaction.
- Data Analysis:
- Analyze large datasets related to software entitlements and deployments. Maintain accurate records and generate actionable reports for stakeholders. Collaborate with Product Leaders and SVM teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all software assets, including information on versions, installation dates, end-of-life (EOL), and usage metrics. Use various tools to compile and verify this data.
- Lifecycle Management:
- Manage the full lifecycle of software assets from acquisition through renewal and decommissioning. Utilize tools like Coupa and KY3P to support renewal and recertification processes.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously seek to enhance SAM processes to drive efficiency, accuracy, and alignment with broader business goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT, procurement, and finance teams to ensure strategic and effective software asset management across the enterprise.
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Support:
- Conduct initial reviews of third-party software during M&A activities. Assist project teams with evaluating current software resources and managing license transitions for acquired entities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro
- Strong understanding of software license management best practices
- Proficiency in analyzing large data sets and generating reports
- Experience with tools like Coupa and KY3P
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of major software vendors and licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Tableau)
- Experience supporting M&A activities is a plus
