What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marine Coordinator position at ITC?
Basic Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enter customer orders into JD Edwards system to create work orders including Special Service Requests (SSR) as needed.
- Schedule marine movements per dock, product availability and customer’s specifications including the notification of third- party inspectors as nominated by the customer.
- Coordinate and schedule pipeline and tank-to-tank transfer movements.
- Interact with customers as needed to ensure product movements are scheduled accurately and timely.
- Communicate to the customer any relevant information related to delays or issues with their bulk movement
- Coordinate all direct moves with Truck and Rail, as needed.
- Ensure all required information and documentation has been received for all movement types prior to scheduling (i.e., ethanol, imports, exports, vapor recovery, barge certification of inspections, etc.)
- Obtain and distribute diagrams on ships.
- Obtain and enter ETAs from barge companies and ship agents.
- Coordinate monthly marine blanket bulk orders.
- Obtain surveyor questionnaire for testing requirements
- Work closely with Marine Dispatchers for scheduling and revisions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years experience within the terminal or petrochemical industry handling hazardous and non hazardous products.
- Experience with J.D. Edwards, SAP or other ERP systems, all Microsoft Office software, use of the Internet, and ten-key calculator.
- Good skills in analysis and problem solving.
- Strong organizational, decision making, and communication skills.
