JOB SUMMARY
The Analyst Supervisor works closely with the Director of Operations to assure on time delivery of quality services and products to customers. Acts as a leader of the Operations Analyst team to drive an operational culture that aligns, enables, and empowers the team to substantially increase quality, productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Prepares samples and measures specifications using prescribed lab equipment for each product. Analyzes products, records data and measurements, conducts database searches, identify selections, make report comments, and generates reports based on correct specifications. Ensures optimal team efficiency and quality standards. Maintains product database and product profile system, including the updating of pricing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads the team in developing and meeting daily production plans.
- Works with Director of Strategic Operations and Administration Supervisor to direct operational activities, so that services are provided on schedule and within quality standards.
- Highly proficient as an Analyst and recognized as a Subject Matter and Operational Expert.
- Assures QA/QC programs are being followed by team. Recommends improvements to operating procedures, standard work, programs, processes, and training.
- Responds to rechecks and customer escalations.
- Assists Quality Administrator with training opportunities.
- Assures a safe workplace and reports all concerns, near misses, and incidents to management.
- Actively mentors other team members in product knowledge, quality, and related job skills.
- Actively encourages team members to ensure optimum Ops Center workflow.
- Measures, evaluates, and analyzes all sample specifications, database selections, websites, and library samples to ensure accuracy in determining like, kind and quality selections or matches.
- Operates and utilizes lab equipment/tools as required, following current procedures.
- Documents and verifies all unusual specifications, poor sample conditions, and any aspects of individual samples that does not comply with industry norms by placing internal notes and report comments in ICC software.
- Generates a validation report containing findings of the analysis and product recommendations.
- Files and stores samples according to set procedures.
- Communicates with mill partners and distributors regarding products and pricing.
- Updates product pricing in the database.
- Answers, screens, and directs telephone calls, maintaining a highly positive attitude in all interfaces.
- Identifies, documents, tracks, and reports system issues, computer/program bugs, system improvements, and other matters affecting production in JIRA.
- Serves as first line response for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Assists Operations personnel to fill critical needs to meet Service Level Agreements.
- Supports Business Continuity Plan (BCP) during Disaster Recovery efforts.
- Provides support to the Operations Center as needed or directed to assist in managing peak volumes or personnel shortages.
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least four (4) of job-related experience required, preferably in the flooring, siding, roofing, or insurance claims industries.
- Must be detail-oriented and can evaluate mathematical data and arrive at a decision.
- Proven ability to mobilize and lead work teams to implement initiatives and projects.
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.
- Effective analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to operate light industrial machinery, measuring devices (ie. microscopes, calipers, vision systems, spectrometers, etc.), and a variety of general tools.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
PREFERRED
- Some university/college coursework

WORKING CONDITIONS/EQUIPMENT USE
- Work is performed indoors in a typical office environment - not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
