What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor position at ITG Communications?
A Warehouse Supervisor oversees the operations in a warehouse. Responsible for supervising the work of Warehouse Assistants, the Warehouse Supervisor coordinates and implements logistical processes to ensure optimal operations to support field work.
Responsibilities
- Oversees operations for a portion of a warehouse or during an assigned shift.
- Coordinates a team that receives, stores, and distributes materials, equipment, and/or supplies
- Tracks inventory by performing physical counts and verifying information against warehousing systems.
- Monitors operations for compliance with regulations governing materials handling, storage, and distribution where applicable.
- Follows and recommends process changes for safe and efficient operation
- Ensures inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained.
- Monitors Warehouse Associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery
Requirements
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, and experience of at least one (1) year.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, sit
Ability to use hands to handle or feet
Ability to reach with hands and arms
Ability to climb and balance
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
Ability to maintain all safety expectations
Ability to work in various outdoor environments and conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and inclement weather.
May need to work outdoors for extended periods
