Position Overview:
The role’s primarily focus is on wage and hour class actions, along with individual employment matters, such as FEHA claims. The paralegal will play a key role in assisting attorneys with all stages of litigation and supporting the firm's commitment to client advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in managing wage and hour class actions and individual employment law matters.
- Prepare legal documents, including complaints, deposition summaries, and mediation briefs.
- Conduct legal research and assist in case strategy development.
- Coordinate and prepare discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.
- Manage and track case deadlines, filings, and document organization.
- Communicate directly with clients and provide status updates on case developments.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for court appearances, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on employment law and wage and hour class actions.
- Familiarity with employment law statutes such as FEHA and California wage and hour laws.
- Experience with litigation, including preparing pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Paralegal certification (Preferred but not required).
