POSITION : Full-Time Elementary Teaching Position (2nd Grade)

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required).
  • Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate (required).
  • Early Childhood Education endorsement desired.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young learners.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans in core subject areas (reading, writing, math, science, and social studies).
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, or English language learners.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with families to share student progress and foster strong school-home partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and comply with school policies and state requirements.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
