Overview
ITility is seeking an experienced, performance driven Senior Accountant/SME to serve as Senior Accountant providing professional accounting services for CWMD Accounting Operations team within the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Domestic Nuclear Detection Office and Office of Health Affairs (CWMD/DNDO & CWMD/OHA). This position is currently a remote position until a return to work has been determined.

Responsibilities
- Responsibile for reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information for general ledgers, equipment and fixed asset processing and reporting.
- Responsible for research and reconcile all discrepancies; auditing and verifying documents; monitor, track and review status of all deliverables per DHS Component Connection; assist with reviewing and approving monthly and quarterly deliverables; analyzing and correcting discrepancies and abnormal balances, eliminations with CWMD trading Partners; review and oversee the execution of the agency reimbursable program; support the federal POCs with yearend audits and the preparation of financial statements; and execute other projects/duties as assigned.
- In addition; the candidate will follow all internal controls processes and procedures establish by the agency and federal POCs and document any changes as needed.
- Also, if they notice a lack of internal controls of existing and proposed accounting processes and non-conformance with Federal laws, and agency regulations and practices, he/she should report any instances immediately to federal POCs or/and leadership.

Qualifications
- The Subject Matter Expert (Senior) shall have a minimum of 15 years’ direct experience in federal government and /or military accounting in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
- Mastery of, and skill in applying, the concepts, principles, practices, laws, and regulations of budgeting and financing. High degree of skill in analyzing and comparing budgets and programs actions to recommend the best use of funds.
- Comprehensive and detailed knowledge and understanding of governing budgetary policies, financial processes, budget forecasts, estimates, and submissions conform to requirements, guidelines, and financial objectives.
- Knowledge of analytical processes that is appropriate for conducting cost-benefit analysis, depreciation, pro-ration of revenues and costs, and identification of trends in the use of funds.
- Strong analytical and policy analysis background.
- Working experience in Accounting.
- Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests.
- Superior skills with Microsoft Office programs (Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
