ITnova is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will ensure the network infrastructure's reliable performance, security, and scalability for a key client, the Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC), and other airport stakeholders. You will leverage your expertise in Zero Trust Network Access, firewall design, core and edge switch configurations, and more to support critical network systems and improve overall network security.

- Design, configure, and maintain secure and efficient network architectures, including Zero Trust Network Access principles.
- Oversee firewall configuration and security protocols to ensure network safety.
- Configure and manage core and edge switches to support high-availability network operations.
- Support and maintain C.U.T.E. (Common Use Terminal Equipment) infrastructure and ensure compatibility with airport systems.
- Implement and manage network access controls and micro-segmentation to protect sensitive data and assets.
- Design, configure, and manage Storage Area Network (SAN) systems, including backup strategies.
- Manage and support video surveillance and access control systems integrated into the network infrastructure.
- Configure and support IP Telephony and teleconferencing systems.
- Manage helpdesk ticketing systems and provide technical support and troubleshooting services to clients and stakeholders.
- Provide excellent customer service, collaborating with RIAC and airport stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent network certifications.
- Experience in airport or transportation environments preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions and virtualization technologies.
- Proven network engineering experience, focusing on design, implementation, and maintenance of complex systems.
- Strong expertise in Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) best practices and network security.
- Hands-on experience with firewall design and configuration, including intrusion prevention and detection systems.
- In-depth knowledge of core and edge switch configuration (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
- Experience working with C.U.T.E. infrastructure in an airport or similar environment.
- Strong background in implementing Network Access Controls (NAC) and micro-segmentation.
- Solid understanding of SAN configuration, including data backup and recovery.
- Familiarity with video surveillance systems (VSS) and access control systems (ACS).
- Expertise in IP Telephony systems, teleconferencing, and related technologies.
- Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems and IT service management (ITSM).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment to achieve goals
