What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at ITU AbsorbTech?
ITU AbsorbTech is looking for a Plant Manager to join our team in Titusville, PA.
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the plant and providing a safe and productive work environment for the employees. This individual works closely with production supervisors to ensure that processing quality, quantity and service meets or exceeds ITU AbsorbTech standards. The plant manager is also responsible for establishing an environment of uncompromising safety, implementing and completing continuous improvement projects and meeting cost management targets established by upper management
Key Responsibilities include:
- Establish a safety culture where accidents are unacceptable.
- Produce all products in the proper quantities in time to meet the requirements of ITU AbsorbTech customers.
- Develop annual operating plans, budgets and forecasts for areas of responsibility.
- Responsible for plant management personnel; selection, development, guidance and performance assessment to increase effectiveness in meeting or exceeding company goals.
- Establish goals, metrics, and overall performance objectives. Creating specific plans to train, coach, develop, or manage improvement.
- Use the opportunity for improvement (OFI) process to improve operations. Implement Lean Manufacturing and 6-S concepts when applicable. Implement and manage International Organization for Standardization (ISO) projects as needed and directed.
- Work with the maintenance supervisor and production supervisors to keep the building and equipment safe and well maintained within the expense budget.
- All other duties as assigned
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7am-3pm with flexibility in schedule needed to meet business needs.
Pay: $85,000-$90,000 (annually) depending on experience opportunity for bonus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in operations management is required with a minimum of 5-6 years related experience or equivalent operations management experience. Industry specific knowledge preferred. Individual must have strong organizational skills and leadership skills.
