StampTech Fasteners TM Division Description:
The ITW StampTech Fastener TM Division serves the major OEMs and Tier suppliers in the North American automotive market. The division supplies stamped metal fasteners and engineered fastener assemblies that leverage our deep-draw stamping technologies. The annual revenue for the division is approximately $160M. Locations include Gallatin, TN, Lexington, KY & Naugatuck, CT.

Job Summary
Operates multiple power presses to trim, punch, shape, notch, draw, or crimp metal to produce a quality part for the customer. Must be proficient in troubleshooting and able to complete changeovers.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all established safety, health and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices
- Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications
- Positions work piece against fixtures or stops on machine bed or on die
- Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction
- Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors isolates non-conforming product
- Cleans and lubricates machines
- Positions and clamps feed guide
- Thread metal strip from payout reel through pinch rollers or loads hopper or conveyor with metal blanks
- Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment at all times.
- Label, scan, and move product per specifications.
- Completes all paperwork as required
- Participate in team activities as required (Such as Audits, Corrective Actions, 5s)
- Maintain good housekeeping standards
- Contributes to team effort by focusing on continuous improvement and success for the entire team
- All other duties as assigned by manager
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of industrial experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience with operating a forklift
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Effectively communicate in a professional demeanor when dealing with the public or any level of employees
- Demonstrate good problem-solving skills and possess communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work overtime

The employee could be exposed to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Safety toed with slip resistant shoes, safety glasses and earplugs are required on the plant floor
