What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Worker- Public Area Attendants position at IUOE Training & Education Center?

PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Primarily responsible for cleaning of the public areas, classrooms, side structures and setups throughout the property.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Work in a safe manner and follow all company rules and policies concerning safety and PPE.
Able to communicate in English with staff and guests.
Ensure the public areas are clean, safe and an efficient work environment.
Assist with carpet extraction, power washing, vacuuming and floor care.
Ensure the parking lot is clean and free of trash and debris.
Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner as requested by the team leader.
Identify potential hazards and report to immediate supervisor.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Banquets Manager or Housekeeping Lead.
Drive the utility vehicles in a safety manner.
Fill out the daily shift check list.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
A variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day.
Frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot and stand for long periods of time.
Occasional climbing of ladders
Use of basic commercial cleaning equipment.
Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour
