We are a fast paced, 3 veterinarian practice who sees small animal and EXOTICS such as reptiles, pocket pets, small pigs, MONKEYS, kangaroos, and much more!
We are located in House Springs looking for a Veterinary Technician to join the growing team! Here at Ivan Animal Hospital, we are passionate about providing high quality veterinary care to our patients. The ideal applicant will be team oriented, have the ability to work well under pressure and have a positive attitude. Excellent client communication skills and the desire to provide compassionate care are a must.
This position will require the applicant to assist veterinarians in the care of animals. This includes but is not limited to cleaning wounds, taking vitals, preparing lab work (i.e. urinalysis, blood tests), collecting samples, and performing venipuncture.
Essential functions that applicants must be familiar with or willing to learn:
- Surgical assistance, preparation & monitoring
- Medication & fluid administration
- Venipuncture
- IV catheter placement
- Radiographs
- Proper animal restraint
- Dental scaling and polishing
- Sterilizing surgical equipment
- Getting patient history and updating medical charts
