Ivey Design Group is looking for a Design Assistant to help with all projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, organized, creative, and has a willingness to help in both design and administrative tasks. This a full-time in-person position ONLY.

- Assist with research and development of both interior architectural and FFE design concepts, under the direction of Creative Director
- Help create digital presentations as needed
- Assist with 3D modeling as needed (not required, but helpful!)
- Request and receive estimates and quotes from design showrooms, workrooms, and vendors and keep track of budgets
- Lead procurement efforts in receiving quotes, creating client proposals, creating purchase orders, tracking orders, dealing with damages, and providing overall project logistics as needed
- Help coordinate with vendors, consultants, and other team members to ensure smooth project communication
- Manage our materials library and assist in presentation preparation
- Assist on-site with installations
- Work with bookkeeper to keep timely records
- Maintain successful vendor, client, and internal team member relationships by communicating and resolving issues professionally
- Run relevant project errands, including sourcing materials, coordinating deliveries, and supporting site visits as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred, but not required
- 1-3 years of experience in design or related fields preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in Sketchup, Adobe InDesign, and AirTable (or willing to learn)
- Basic understanding of design principles and capable of reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications
- Highly dependable, responsible, and passionate
- Maintain a customer-centric mentality with clients, contractors, and vendors
- Detail oriented and extremely organized
- Exhibit dedication to quality, strong attention to detail, and excellent follow-through
- Ability to assist with multiple projects in different stages of development and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Proven ability to problem solve, anticipate next steps, and complete tasks
- Ability to excel individually and in a team environment
- Ability to travel for sourcing, meetings, and installations (and access to a reliable source of transportation)
