What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Hip Hop Dance Instructor position at Ivy Hue Dance Company?
Ivy Hue Dance Company provides youth with a versatile and sound foundation in dance education as well as opportunities to engage creatively and perform. Among other dance forms such as Ballet, Tap, & Jazz , Hip Hop is an essential component toward building that foundation.
We are in need of a Substitute Hip Hop Instructor for our Thursday night Hip Hop class in Lemont. Time is from 5-6:30pm.
We are also looking to add this person as our regular Hip Hop substitute teacher and possibly a permanent part time role.
Requirements:
Must have reliable transportation to Lemont, IL.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have experience working with children.
- Dance experience in Hip Hop is required
- Must have EXCELLENT communication skills, ability to work with minimal supervision to solve problems, and act quickly. Demonstrate initiative, dependability, good judgment, leadership, management activities, and the capability to work in a positive manner with the general public.
- Applicant should be a self-sufficient individual willing to run dance classes on their own. Applicant should be willing to collaborate with peers and company director on class performances and changes
- Must have a positive and growth mindset
- Must be well organized, prompt, and have excellent time management skills. Must understand to be on time means to be early.
- Must be willing and able to pass a background screening.
- Must be prepared to provide past dance videos, references, or proof of dance experience
Able to start Immediately

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per day
