Ivy Tech Bloomington is searching for part time adjunct faculty to teach Chemistry courses. Chemistry courses are taught on campus and meet 2x per week either Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs. There are both day and evening options.
Adjunct faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.

Major Responsibilities:
- Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
- Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
- Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
- Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
- Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and leads to a positive experience with
- Ivy Tech Community College, shows evidence of developing and implementing active classroom teaching strategies focused onengaging students with their learning (curricular).
- Interacts with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complies with College policies, campus guidelines and expectations.
- Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safetyprocedures for classrooms, labs and all learning environments.

Minimum Qualifications:
A qualified faculty member in chemistry meets one of three routes:
1. Possesses an earned master's or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in chemistry, or
2. Possesses an earned master's or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in any field with 18 graduate semester hours in chemistry-related courses, or
3. Holds an Indiana teaching license that makes the individual eligible to teach in a secondary setting, and
- Completes a major of at least thirty-six (36) credit hours (undergraduate and/or graduate) in the subject or a related subject to the area in which they will teach, and
- Possesses at least three (3) prior years of teaching experience.
