IT Intern Job Responsibilities/ Duties
- Provide technical assistance to staff and customers on hardware and software-related issues
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, and software
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues
- Follow established procedures and processes for computer maintenance
- Provide training and support to team members on the use of computer systems and software
- Perform system backups and maintain accurate records
- Research and recommend solutions for technical problems
- Troubleshoot phone system and printers
Information Technology (IT) Intern Requirements and Qualifications
- Certificate or Higher in Computer Science, or related field
- Knowledge of computer systems and software including Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of network and system security
- Familiarity with hardware and software installation
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing technology
- Knowledge of Windows OS
General Requirements
- Completed FAFSA on file demonstrating unmet financial need.
- Maintain a minimum of 6 credit hours of enrollment in eligible courses per semester of participation.
- Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status.
- Actively pursuing a college credential, preferably in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Software Development, or a comparable Information Technology program.
Length of Internship or amount of hours needed
8 to 10 weeks, but willing to meet programs hour requirements
Internship Schedule of hours
Flexible hours between 8:00 am- 4:00pm Monday- Friday
Pay Rate: $15/hr.
