What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitorial Worker position at Ivy Technology LLC?
Peforms cleaning duties within production plant, including waste management, floors, surfaces, and common areas. Ensures all areas are maintained in a state of cleanliness. Maintains cleaning supplies and organizes supply closets.
Responsibilities:
- Washes windows and mirrors
- Takes out the trash and recycling
- Wipes down and sanitizes surfaces
- Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks restrooms
- Follows instructions from facilities manager
- Sweeps, mops, polishes, and vacuums floors as needed
- Uses common cleaning tools and chemicals
- Organizes the janitor closet and stores all supplies and tools
- Completes minor repairs, like switching lightbulbs and unclogging toilets
- Notifies the facility manager when major repairs are needed
- Fills out janitorial checklists at the end of every shift
- Adheres to company policies and procedures
- Follows safety rules and precautions
Janitor Qualifications and Skills:
- Works well independently and has strong time management skills
- Collaborates with other janitors and maintenance workers as needed
- Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing and walking for most of the shift, bending, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds
Education and Experience Requirements:
- At least 1 year of professional cleaning experience is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
