Job Summary:
We are seeking an Accountant to join our family office team. The accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting related transactions and providing financial reports to the CFO. The accountant will perform general accounting duties including processing supplier invoices, reconciling bank and credit card statements, preparing journal entries, assisting with period end close, monitoring investment portfolios, as well as light administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a family office environment.
The position will work in-office in downtown Fayetteville, Arkansas
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records for the family office
• Support monthly close activities
• Process invoice payments, wire transfers, etc.
• Reconcile bank and credit/debit statements
• Prepare financial reports and summaries
• Communicate with family members and other stakeholders to ensure accurate record keeping
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash forecasts
• Assist with forecasting and financial planning and analysis activities
• Monitor and track family office related investment portfolios
• Maintain procedures and process documents for assigned activities
• Manage documents and maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Other duties as assigned by the CFO
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years' accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
• Knowledge of accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
• Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with family office operations and protocols is a plus
Salary and Benefits:
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits package includes health insurance, and paid time off.
Salary : $65,000 - $95,000
