GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION
The Systems Office Administrative Intern provides support services to the College's Systems Office. Under the supervision of the President's Office Senior Administrative Assistant / Scheduler, this position will conduct duties including greeting and directing visitors / guests, sorting mail, providing general office support and customer service, and completing special projects. The Intern will be stationed at the front desk on the North Meridian Center 3rd floor and will serve as the critical first impression for visitors and guests visiting the College's Systems Office.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the first point of contact within Systems Office to greet and direct visitors / guests.
Sort incoming mail to ensure appropriate distribution and take outgoing mail to the mailroom.
Ensure the break room is always cleaned and stocked.
Ensure the supply closet is tidy and organized.
Assist with copy / printing needs as requested.
Assist with meeting room setups and arranging food service as needed.
Assist in maintaining the professional appearance and general organization of the office including conference rooms, employee common areas, supply rooms, and printer and copy stations.
Complete special projects as assigned by the Director of President's Office Administrative Operations and other Systems Office staff.
Assist the President's Office Senior Administrative Assistant / Scheduler and other Systems Office staff as needed.

EDUCATION
Earned high school diploma or equivalent required. Must be enrolled as a student at Ivy Tech Community College.
EXPERIENCE
Must be an outstanding team player, have excellent customer service skills, and possess a professional demeanor. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and have experience with various software applications. Requires a self-motivated, outgoing, detail-oriented, and highly organized individual. Good grammar, oral, and written communication skills are essential.
