What are the responsibilities and job description for the Budget & Reporting Analyst position at IWP?
The Budget and Reporting Analyst will create budgets and prepare financial reports for the organization. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and have the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
What You’ll Do
- Work with department heads to assist in creating the annual budget and monthly forecast for multiple companies.
- Prepare monthly variance to budget and forecast expense analysis.
- Work closely with the accounting team on the month end close process.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly Financial Package for multiple companies.
- Prepare monthly headcount and expense reports for the department heads.
- Use the Planful reporting system to produce financial statements, budget and forecast reports.
- Maintain headcount data in the Planful reporting system.
- Assist in the monthly commission calculation for multiple companies.
- Provide value added analytics that highlight key trends and variances.
- Perform a variety of finance-based projects as required by the manager.
- Compliance with strict confidentiality guidelines.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- 3-5 years relevant budget and financial reporting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Strong computer skills including Excel (pivot tables/ /xlookups)
- Knowledge of a Financial Management Reporting System, Planful system a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strict attention to detail and drive to deliver consistently high-quality outputs
- Pro-active and understands sense of urgency
- Ability to work independently as well as in a teamwork environment.
- Manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
