Location:
Cass Park – Ithaca, New York
Stewart Park - Ithaca, NY
Rate of Pay: $18.75 per hour
Hours:
- Weekdays - 9:00am – 4:00pm: Monday -Friday
- Weekday mornings - 9:00am – 12:00pm: Monday -Friday
*Staff shift starts and ends a minimum of 15 minutes before and after programs or what is reasonably needed for a particular day’s set-up and clean-up.
Dates:
- Training - June 21st, 27th, & 28th
- Programming runs for 1-2 week sessions from June 30th – August 15th (No Programming July 4th)
Qualifications: Experience working with youth in a class, team, or camp setting in Athletics or Physical Education. Experience leading games or sports and/or pursuing degree in Physical Education or Recreation.
Job Description: This position works with youth between ages 5-8 or 8-13. The instructor plans and leads Athletics activities and does or directs program set-up and clean up. The Lead Instructor reports directly to the Recreation Program Specialist or Camp Director.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Planning, prep, clean-up, and leading of Athletics/Recreation activities and projects.
2. Supervise participants during activities to ensure safety.
3. Creates supply list that stays within the allotted budget guidelines and gives to designated IYB staff for ordering/pick-up.
4. Other duties as needed by the Rec Program Coordinator or Camp Director
