Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our casual dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role is crucial in ensuring an outstanding dining experience for our guests while managing staff, inventory, and customer relations.
Duties
- Supervise front of house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, ensuring high levels of service and guest satisfaction.
- Manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.
- Train and develop staff on service standards, menu knowledge, and Toast POS system usage to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication between front and back of house operations.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain culinary standards.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally to foster a positive dining environment.
- Implement health and safety regulations in compliance with local laws related to food management.
- Assist with scheduling staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the food industry, preferably in casual dining settings.
- Strong knowledge of food service management practices, including cash handling and inventory control.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and motivate a diverse team.
- Passion for culinary arts and coffee culture is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
