We provide general contracting, construction development and construction management services to commercial, multi-family and industrial clients. J.A. Fielden has completed more than 475 projects throughout the eastern United States since its inception in 1992.
Our project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors have created a culture of working together to plan projects to minimize the effects of material volatility, manpower shortages, weather impacts, and other potential delays. We encourage input from subcontractors, vendors, and others when developing schedules and constantly provide updates to adjust for changing conditions. As an Assistant Project Manager at J.A. Fielden, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager with relevant tasks on the project and providing support for the field personnel. These tasks will include the following:
· Project start-up assistance by completing material take-offs, issuing purchase orders, setting up utility accounts and preparing contracts.
· Obtaining, reviewing and submitting all applicable submittals and interior finish approvals.
· Support field staff with document control, RFI’s, reviewing daily reports, material tracking, schedule updates and conflict resolutions.
· Occasional site visits to provide office updates, conduct quality control and assistance for owner and architect meetings.
· Assist with Change Orders by properly distributing, receiving pricing and preparing for review by Project Manager.
· Scheduling updates and tracking throughout the project to ensure project milestones and completion dates are met.
Job Requirements:
· Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and Procore software
· Strong, clear and concise communication skills
· Demonstrate effective organizational, time management and analytical skills
· Advanced understanding of industry
· Commitment to safety
· Possess the ability to work effectively with others, build relationships and resolve conflicts
· Exhibit strong leadership qualities
Minimum Qualifications:
· High school diploma required, Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent preferred
