Job Summary
We are seeking a career minded, dedicated, detailed and skilled Building Construction Estimator to join our team. This is a full-time, year-round position.
The Construction Building Estimator is responsible for providing accurate cost estimates and quotes for our building construction and pole shed projects. This role requires strong focus on details and ability to multi-task.
General Duties:
Works closely with Construction Manager as a pivotal role of the project’s inception and lifecycle.
Works with Construction Management to determine the scope of projects, identifying client needs and specific requirements.
Calculates project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead, ensuring estimates are competitive and align with company standards.
Collaborates with suppliers and procurement to select appropriate building materials, considering quality, cost, and project specifications.
Creates detailed and comprehensive project bids, including itemized cost breakdowns, timelines, prints and deliverables, to submit to clients.
Maintains accurate records of project estimates, specifications, and any changes or revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Works closely with construction management, project managers, architects, and clients to address any questions, concerns, or modifications related to the estimates.
Monitors project expenses and budgets, tracking actual costs versus estimated costs, and proposing cost-effective solutions when necessary.
Stays up to date with industry trends, new building technologies, and cost-effective practices to enhance project estimations, attending training and industry events.
Works with Construction Management Leadership to ensure accurate pricing, delivery, and timely invoicing of customer orders.
Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in business with sales/marketing or construction emphasis with a minimum of 2-3 years of sales and quoting experience in a related construction field or equivalent combination of education and experience required to meet the essential functions of this position is preferred.
Fundamental understanding of industry building codes, products, and specifications a plus.
