Job Summary
The house manager is responsible for all overall functions of the homes within their cluster with up to 4 intellectually disabled clients. Willingness to work with potentially aggressive individuals. Also work at locations outside of their identified clusters to provide support as needed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the needs of each resident.
- Supervise and train staff members to ensure compliance with care standards and regulations.
- Monitor the well-being of residents, addressing any concerns related to their health or safety.
- Facilitate communication between residents, families, guardians, social workers, school and work staff and healthcare professionals.
- Manage daily operations including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Ensure that the facility maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
- Coordinate activities and programs that promote social interaction and personal development for residents.
- Maintain accurate records of resident progress and incidents as required by regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in group home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Background in social work, nursing, or related fields is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in budgeting and resource management.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Compassionate attitude towards providing care for individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating leadership capabilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.25 per hour
