J&L Construction, LLC is a business specializing in heavy civil utilities construction in Denton, TX. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Estimator Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new project opportunities, preparing bid proposals, and managing administrative tasks essential for the bidding process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of documentation requirements, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to secure new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities :
Research and identify new projects to bid on, utilizing online platforms, networking, and other resources.
Review and analyze project specifications, timelines, and bid requirements to determine eligibility and feasibility.
Prepare and complete bidding documents accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all client and industry standards.
Coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary project information and ensure timely submissions.
Maintain an organized system for tracking project bids, deadlines, and follow-ups.
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to clarify bid requirements and ensure all documentation is up to date.
Assist in compiling and submitting required pre-qualification documents, certifications, and other supporting materials.
Stay updated on industry trends and potential project leads.
Perform other administrative and project-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in a similar role or within a construction / utility industry environment is preferred.
Strong understanding of administrative processes and document management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
