Position Type: Full-time on-site, Regular

Job Location: Albuquerque, NM

Hours: 7am to 4pm, Monday through Friday

General Summary:

Job specific training and mentorship will be provided. Under the direct supervision of the Area Manager, this position provides administrative/clerical support for the Area/Project Managers, and area workers. Position performs duties such as record keeping, coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, records management, project cost construction activities, coordinating field new hire orientation, and working on special projects.

Track and coordinate customer training requirements. Update area manpower spreadsheet and track lessons learned. Create new project field binders for field labor leads. Assists safety in the entry of observation cards. Process area and fabrication shops purchase orders. Order office supplies and distribute internal and external correspondence. Assists with online electronic credit card expenses.

Lean/Continuous Improvement: Actively engages in company’s lean and continuous improvement efforts. To include involvement in standardized lean/continuous improvement programs and initiatives. Identify wastes and look for solutions to resolve or eliminate the waste.

Education and Experience:

  • 1-year office administration experience required
  • 1-year administrative experience in the construction field, preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to interact effectively with people, departments, customers – internal and external
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Physical Requirements/Travel:

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment though field/site visits with exposure to the elements may be required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position occasionally drives a vehicle to visit the field site(s) within the local area.
