Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated, friendly, and reliable Cafeteria Worker to join our J Bar B team. This position will be responsible for preparing and serving food, maintaining cleanliness in the cafeteria, and providing exceptional customer service to employees. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a food service setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation and Service:

• Prepare and serve meals to employees.
• Prepare a weekly food menu a week in advance and a supply order no more than twice per week (Tuesday by noon & Thursday by noon).
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, and grills, coffee pot, steam table.
• Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner.

Sanitation and Cleanliness:

• Maintain clean and hygienic food preparation areas.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work areas, microwaves used by workers, tables, and chairs.
• Dispose of waste in an appropriate manner.
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.

Inventory and Supplies:

• Order supplies as needed. Both for food preparation and items needed by employees in the plant (hair nets, aprons, and ear plugs).
• Process all orders received and ensure order is fulfilled as placed.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the Cafeteria Manager.

Customer Service:

• Interact with employees in a positive and respectful manner.
• Process food payments on the computer using employee ID card.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow and comply with all health and safety regulations.
• Ensure proper food storage and handling practices.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to company policies.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a food service setting preferred.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday from 6 am- 4pm.
• Occasional weekends and holidays as needed.
