J BLACK FINANCIAL GROUP, a successful and rapidly growing boutique wealth management firm, is looking to add an experienced Risk Management Associate. We expect to double our revenue every four to five years and need talented, hardworking individuals who are expected to contribute not only to their specific roles, but also to the direction and growth of the overall enterprise.
The firm provides comprehensive, fee-based financial planning, fee-based investment advisory solutions, education funding strategies, holistic wealth management, retirement planning and risk management (which includes life insurance, disability insurance, income annuities and long-term care insurance).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare sales proposals and review materials for client meetings.
- Correspond with clients to handle service requests.
- Onboard new risk management clients.
- Coordinate medical exams.
- Communicate with underwriters to ensure policies are processed in a timely manner.
- Maintain client records and document client communications.
- Work collaboratively and interdependently with Team Members.
- Participate in client meetings for risk management presentations and questions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years in financial services and/or insurance services.
- Life & Health license.
- History of clean compliance record.
- Ability to follow through and execute on company objectives.
- Always do what’s in the client's best interest.
- Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Professionalism, high standards and diligence.
- Champions positivity in a fun, collaborative, energic team environment.

- Has GRIT.

- Maintains highest levels of client confidentiality.
Preferred:
- CLU® designation.
- Industry licenses: 6, 63, 65, 7.
- Familiarity with 15Five, Microsoft Systems (Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote, Excel).
