Position Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Medical Billing Supervisor to oversee our billing department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical billing processes, coding guidelines, and insurance regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a team of billing specialists and ensure timely and accurate billing and reimbursement processes
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of medical billing specialists.
- Provide guidance on billing procedures, coding standards, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team member
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee the billing process, including claim submission, payment posting, and reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies and government entities.
- Monitor billing metrics and productivity to achieve departmental goals.
- Address billing discrepancies and resolve issues related to claims processing
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare industry standards.
- Conduct audits to verify accuracy and completeness of billing data and documentation.
- Implement quality assurance measures to improve billing accuracy and efficiency
- Provide training on billing procedures, coding updates, and software tools.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Medical Billing Supervisor or similar role in a healthcare setting.
- In-depth knowledge of medical billing procedures, coding systems (ICD-10, CPT), and insurance billing regulations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Certification in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CPB) is a plus.
